Poster Presentation Guidelines

Poster dimensions should be 1100mm wide x 900mm high to fit within the poster board space using the landscape layout.

All presenters must post their posters on their assigned poster board by the end of the posting time. Make sure your poster number matches the number printed on the upper left or right corner of the poster board when you post your poster. Stickers will be provided on each poster board. You will not be allowed to use any other materials such as tape, glue, staples or anything else other than the given material.

Posters must remain on display until the end of each poster session and be removed during the removal time of each poster session. Any materials left on the poster board at the end of the session will be removed and discarded. The secretariat will not be responsible for anything left at the end of the conference.

The presenters must be present at their display during the presenter’s presence time assigned for each poster session. Presenters are expected to interact with diverse researchers to discuss their work as well as to have opportunities to network with others in their area of interest to exchange information and participate in general discussions with colleagues.

All posters will be evaluated by judges. Judges will have the opportunity to assess the posters in their own time and ask questions to the presenter during the presenter presence time as well. The criteria for assessment is as follows:
- Research content: overall scientific quality, potential impacts of the research, creative approaches
- Visual Appeal: attractive graphics, appropriate font size, print quality, logical flow of the information
- Impression of Presentation: concise and clear presentation, ability to interaction with the viewers

Presenters who do an excellent presentation will be selected to receive the Best Poster Presentation Awards which consists of certificates and cash prizes. The selected list will be posted on the notice board during the conference. The winners will be presented their awards at the General Assembly. They must be present to receive the award. The number of selected awardees may be subject to change at any time at the discretion of the program committee.


Oral Presentation Guidelines

The presenters will present in the mini-symposium sessions organized specifically for young investigators who are PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior PIs within the field of neuroscience. All selected abstract are assigned a mini-symposium session and presenting order, which will be informed to each presenter.

The length of each oral presentation is 10 minutes long followed by a 3 minute question and answer period and the presentation should be spoken in English. Presenters must comply with this schedule. Presenters should report to the preview room at least 30 minutes before the session starts and load their presentation materials onto a provided laptop prepared in the preview room. Using a personal laptop will not be allowed in order to make smooth transitions between presenters.

The judges will evaluate the presentations during the session. The criteria for assessment is as follows:
- Research content: clearly stated and explained, legible and well-organization of materials
- Speech Mechanics: concise and clear presentation, smooth transition with proper pace
- Impression of Presentation: ability to understand and answer questions, proper amount of eye contact

The presenters who make the most outstanding oral presentations will be selected to receive the Best Oral Presentation Awards which consists of certificates and cash prizes. The selected list will be posted on the notice board after the session. The winners will be presented their awards during the General Assembly. They must be present to receive the award. The number of selected awardees may be subject to change at any time at the discretion of the program committee.
